According to a survey conducted by the University of Leicestershire, over 1.2 million women and 900,000 men are subjected to a form of stalking in the United Kingdom annually.
In England and Wales there is no specific offence of stalking and it is a descriptive term not a legal term at this present time. The Protection of Harassment Act 1997 was passed to help prevent victims of harassment, stalking and similar anti social behaviour.
The police are categorically the most important body to ensure the safety of victims subjected to stalking. However, ESS can help victims regain control over their lives and feel free of intimidation by applying our threat management process. The threat management process involves two key procedures applicable to the victim and perpetrators:
These procedures are carefully implemented with the correct strength and resource after a thorough threat assessment and analysis of the past and current situation. We endeavour to minimise any intrusion to our client’s lifestyle, however in our experience some changes may be necessary.

Situations will change and planning for future transformations is a crucial part of the threat management process. Our aim will be to provide you with the evidence, resources and support in order for you to take control and place the balance in your favour, whilst reducing the risks to your personal safety. The objective will be to ensure a lasting safe solution to a stalking/harassment problem.
If you’re the victim of stalking, do not ignore the circumstances; log and report every incident to the police immediately. Remember, the longer a situation is unchecked and unchallenged the worse that situation will become, sometimes with a devastating outcome.
Subject to conditions, we will offer free common sense advice to any victim of stalking and harassment. Please contact us for further information.
